The naming ceremony of ICT Convergence Passenger ship with HiMSEN Hybrid system

“Ulsan Taehwa”, the naming ceremony was held on 29th, November for the ICT Convergence Electric Propulsion Passenger ship with the HiMSEN Hybrid system of Hyundai Heavy Industries Engine & Machinery. This vessel has been built in Hyundai Mipo Dockyard as a 2,400-ton next-generation ICT convergence Smart Electric Propulsion Passenger Ship. The propulsion is a hybrid system equipped with a high-performance HiMSEN 9H22CDF(1.9MW) engine and a battery system. The characteristic of this ship is that low-carbon and advanced high-efficiency technologies equipped with variable load control and energy optimizing system based on the DC-based energy storage systems and HiMSEN LNG DF engine are applied. HHI-EMD is focusing on the eco-friendly system by continuous developing HiMSEN propulsion system and also zero-carbon fueled engine as ammonia and hydrogen
